About

My Philosophy

I believe that healing is within reach and is the most courageous choice that we will make in our lives. By doing the work to heal ourselves, we gain the power to promote healing for our families and communities for generations to come. I am most passionate about working with people experiencing anxiety, those who are exploring their identity, and survivors of trauma of all kinds (including grief & loss, sexual assault, & family conflict). I also enjoy working with those seeking to improve their self-esteem and have experience treating disordered eating concerns including binging, purging, body-image issues, and ARFID. My approach is direct, without sacrificing compassion. I work from a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive lens and welcome clients of all genders, sexualities, spiritualities, and identities. As a therapist, I work alongside clients to heal their wounds through the power of story-telling, while contextualizing the systems of oppression that may serve as barriers to reaching our full potential. I earned my masters degree from The University of Georgia's School of Social Work in 2019 and hold a certificate in Marriage & Family Therapy. Before pursuing private practice, I worked within UGA's student health center where I served as the Lead Case Manager at CAPS and as the Coordinator of the UHC Eating Disorder Treatment Team. I have training in Narrative Therapy, EMDR, and somatic interventions and believe in the value of cultivating an authentic therapeutic relationship in our work together. It’s an honor to walk alongside my clients as they rewrite their stories and reclaim their power.
